Right,

Confused:nenau..........can anyone enlighten me with regards to the options for the above, as I'm looking for one in silver/red for a 31Lt tank. I've searched the forums but some of the info is conflicting.

As I understand, the common option is Baglux (@ £100 or more), but I see references to covers by CM Seats too - anyone got one or an idea of cost?
Also, it there an OEM cover? I guess it would be considerably more expensive.

Lastly, is there an option to have them with/without the clear window for the tank logo?

T(h)anks!

cnt really help u exept that my cover,(plastic covers over badges)seems to blow out at the front (at speed)im worried about small bits of gravel getting in and rubbing away at the paint on long journeys,do they all do this?

I can't speak for the Baglux for the GS or GSA, but I had one for a Ducati 996, and whilst the fit wasn't perfect, it did protect the bike, and didn't let anything in underneath the cover. To the extent that the tank was in a better condition than the rest of the bike :augie

I'd always been told that they were a good way to protect the tank, and on the 996 it certainly did a fantastic job.

I'm interested in a cover for am 1150GSA, and if one came up at a reasonable price I'd be interested (Silver and red to match the bike or Ducati Yellow to match my existing tankk bag:D ).

However if it lets crap in at the front I'd be seriously concerned about the state of the tank, once it had been in place for a while.

So I'm also interested to hear what GSA owners think

Cheers

I was lucky enough to have been bought a silver and red one for crimbo, as well as a bag. I have just fitted it to the best of my ability. Just one long strap left and cant for the life of me see where it goes to, or what it fastens to. There were no specific detailed fitting instructions iwith this cover for the GSA. There were with the GS one though, even though the GS one was a lot simpler to fit.

I had no problems with the one on my GS apart from handle bars catching the horn button occasionally on full lock. Hope I have solved this problem by getting a slightly smaller bag this time.

If anyone has detailed fitting instructions they would be much appreciated to check I have fitted it correctly.

I'll contact Baglux if not and will make them available if they have them.

OK, enough of the hi-jacking.....:augie

We've established that Baglux is a popular choice.................any other suggestions?

Also, anyone got a CMSEATS cover?

CM Seats

Now now.....hi jacking indeed......:thedummy

Had a look at CM Seats web site seem to quote 1 price 59.99 might be thats just a starting price.

A bit more digging shows a company called top saddlery from France were at a big motorycle show in Tiawan.

There site looks interesting and might provide more info than CM Seats who knows you might be able to order direct from

http://www.topsaddlery.com/en/index.php4

Have you also noticed that CM Seats have an Ebay shop might be worth checking out there feedback to see if people have been happy with the products which from its pictures looks identical to the baglux version just in plain colours and cheaper if CM Seats price is correct.

Hope the above helps and keeps it back on track......no intentions to hi jack only to help.:thumb

A bit more info

You can order direct,Top saddlery price is 121 euro = £89.00 delivered

For silver and red or black and yellow without the clear plastic BMW badge window.

For that i think i'd stick with baglux which you can find for just over £100 seems to be the most used/tried and tested.

if you do plump for the top saddlery one let us all know if its good or bad....cheers

I've got the silver and red one with the plastic windows. Fits great but i was at a total loss to see where all of the straps fitted.

I followed this threads instruction brilliant so a big thanks to Paul for posting this. :thumb

Just a small hijack, :augie
Thanks Paul for such detailed instructions on GSA fitting instructions for the Baglux cover. Sorted mine out now and it's a superb fit. Problem was I fitted it like a GS one with the two straps going across instead of around tank fixing points :blast
