The throttle stop screws on my 1150gsa fell out - threads are stuffed. Fiddling by the PO probably.

Anyway, Does anybody know how to set these? I think they are factory set but I need a starting point.

I'll then set the brass screws 2 turns out and adjust the others from there to get an even idle.

Any help appreciated.

cheers, Phil

Thanks Stewart - just what I was looking for.

The zero-zero procedure is for r1100. You're sure is well suited for r1150? 1150 use different Motronic (2.4) and the tb's are different also.

Doesnt matter which it is for - it worked! It now idles at 1100 rpm, and revs out cleanly.

I replaced the missing screws with a pair slightly smaller and put a lock not either side, adjusted it, balanced it and its all good. And a blob of silastic to stop them coming undone again.

Thanks for the help. Phil

I may have another problem, or maybe the same one.

When I first start it up it coughs and farts, runs on one cylinder and goes on until its warm. Then it will idle properly, and run properly, although it is still a little rough just off idle.

I'll recheck the throttle body balance, but I dont think so. Sounds more like an ignitiion problem to me - plug or coil etc not firing properly until it is warm.

Any suggestions
Phil

Finally I get time to look at this, and decided to check the obvious. I pulled out the throttle cable setup. Lo and behold, all four cables are stuffed. Little bits of broken cable sticking out of the twistgrip and two throttle body cables, and the fast idle cable had been pinched and was jamming. No wonder I couldnt get it to balance consistently. So its a new set of cables and start again.
