My 1190 Adventure R will be 4 years old in March and it has just clocked up 30,000 miles. It is now due a minor service and the service indicator has just come on.

I was thinking of doing the servicing myself from now on but do I still need to take it to a dealer to get the service indicator reset or is there a way I am able to do it myself?

Cheers, John.

Had any problems in your four years John ..??

I had an indicator replaced as it filled with condensation and the rear calliper and disc were replaced as the brake dragged on sufficiently to discolour everything. These parts were replaced under warranty by the KTM Centre in Hemel Hempstead.

Apart from that, the bike has been faultless.

Yep ... Mine has been faultless too. (paniers are shite mind .... )

Press the up and down buttons turn ignition on...keep holding the buttons down when it gets to settings menu it will change to service miles and time relese the buttons and use set button to adjust and press set at the end
