decided to bin my boingy KTM sat nav mount and i'm casting around for alternatives.

i found one from SW Motech but there's no pics. is this the one folk use?

reading what i could find on this forum, there seems to also be a Tourtech option, but i can't find it in their catalogue

any guidance, pics etc. gratefully received :)

That's the mount I use for my phone, it's actually cheaper as a power part I think than that price. Look up power part ktm gps handlebar mount. If you can't find it I will post it later. It works really well if you want it on the bar clamps.

I think the touratwat mount is the locking cradle and not actually a mount to the bike. There is another sw mount (I think) that comes up from the top of the clocks, sandwiches between clocks and bike.

THIS is the Touratech one, looks pants to me TBH...............

I just searched the Motech one (which I use and rate) and got a bit confused. If nobody else answers on here before I get home I'll post up the part number for you.

sw motech sat nav bracket ...
Great design and very stable on the move ... :thumb2

Cookie .... before I buy anything I always (like i'm anal about it!) do some homework on the net. This came out as with the best reviews - mostly along the lines of 'it doesn't vibrate and wobble, but every thing else ive tried does .. '

And I concur, its very stable..... :thumb2

Is there a link to the SW part?

I've got the PP one ordered for my bike so if It's no use I'll send it back.

I'm surprised you've not altered the wording on the nav there is a bit of you that needs the comfort of looking down and seeing BMW :comfort :D

Looks like the SW is the one. I'll get it ordered soon as.

Thanks for the help :)

It'll probably be the only thing that breaks down .... !!

I'm not a big fan of Touratech, but their mount is extremely solid.

Though I actually replaced the aluminium bar with some flat steel, welded, with a four-hole plate, so no dropping of the Sat nav when the going gets rough.

I had the crap KTM one originally.

I use the Touratech bracket that mounts onto the instrument panel and the Touratech sprung loaded lockable holder for my Garmin 660. No wobble, very secure, works great and I reckon it looks good too.

After wobbling for the first 30 mins I could take no more. It's going back to the dealer on Sat and I've the SW one ordered.

Iam thinking of buying the sw motech cockpit mount sat nav bracket. Can anyone confirm it the garmin zumo 390lm will fit onto it?

Just fitted the SW Motech Mount to my 1050, very easy to do and well made !! happy enough here... not mega expensive either!

Another thumbs up for the Motech. Tried the Touratech, but sent it back.
Motech very well put together and no movement at all ! Brilliant
