It's always me, isn't it!

I suggest the traditional 4th Thursday, being the 28th this month. Since the Chequers is closing, I put forward the King Billy, the Four Horseshoes in Checkendon (new owners), or the Highwayman in Exlade St.

And, any interest in a Christmas curry? Date TBA, depending on how many and where we can get in.

Random nonsense

I have conducted a survey and the results are now in.
On the matter of "who it is", we have in 2013:
In last place, me with one.
Next is Dr JM with two.
Runner up is your good self with three or four if we count Christmas curry
And the winner is................................Pumpy with five, hurrah to Pumpy!!

I think I may be away on the 28th but am keen for a Christmas curry (incidentally the name also describes a great classic rock climb at Tremadoc)
Wallingford Tandoori has a good rep, I can enquire if you wish?
Have fun:thumb2

Ha ha ha, very good, Patrick! :thumb

I'm in for the 28th November - we can try out the new management at the Four Horseshoes but the King Billy is also acceptable. The Highway Man I find a bit far for us at this time of the year - and it's sort of reserved for special occasions... :P

Christmas Do sounds good, too, but I'm going to the Fatherland from 22nd to 29th December and on the 19th we have the TRF Christmas Dinner - what about Tuesday 10th or Thursday 12th December?

Thanks, Martin, for getting the bauble rolling... :D

I knew it would mostly be Pumpy...

It looks like JM has her BA Christmas do on the 10th, but 12th is OK.

Patrick, do you mind calling the Wallingford Tandoori and checking to see if they have a table?

PS - I won't be a at the TRF AGM as I'm away with work, but I will give the SD card to Dr JM - you just have to make sure she turns up!

Thanks, Martin! :thumb2

P.S. Is there any chance of (at least the first instalment of) your Albania report for the newsletter?

Looks like Patrick can't do 12th. 11th? Or 13th?

Both 11th and 13th are not ideal - but if that's the only chance to see you all before Christmas, so be it.

Thanks for organising both gatherings, Berin! :thumb2

How come it's nearly Christmas time again!?

Berin, can you count me in for the 28th, I'm in the country, hurray!

December is more difficult, I can join you on the 11th, but not the 13th. Maybe that makes a final decision any easier...

Thanks Berin, and see you guys soon!

Ps I'm going to the NEC on Friday the 29th. Anyone else venturing out there that day?

Happens every year, Ilse! Glad you can make it on 28th!

Jm can do 11th, so can Ela, Patrick ( I hope), and Ilse, so lets say 11th, I'll check a venue now but probably Wallingford Tandoori.

We are going to NEC on Sat 30th

Hmmmm curry, count me in.

Pencil me in for the 28th too

Tnx, Mike

I'll be there tomorrow if there's room on the table, was a bit tight last time :D

Can we have a quick show of hands for tomorrow and I'll make sure there's room for everyone

I think Ilse and Nick are coming - but they may already have been in touch with you or the King Billy.

See you tonight! :thumb2
