Variety is the spice of life, how about this pub in Benson that is alleged by Beer in the Evening as "on the up" http://www.crowninnbenson.co.uk/ albeit a bit limited on the Veggie front.

It is pretty much half way Reading / Oxford tho'.

That said, happy to go with the flow....
