Hi folks,

Seeing as some people are considering lowering their 12ADV by various means including changing seats I would be VERY interested to swop my black standard 12GS seats for the ADV versions seeing as they`re interchangable, I think? :thumb

Worth a try?? :thumb :)

SSSHHHHH don`t tell them that!!
On a serious note though a pic I saw on this forum somewhere of the ADV with a 12 seat on did look lower & the standard ADV seat doesn`t look as sculpted as the 12. I haven`t seen both side by side but the ADV seat does look flatter & higher.
Any side by side pics?

Are the low ADV seats not out yet?
Not according to the salesman in Motorrad Central, Dalkeith, yesterday. The new Adventure seat is ridiculously high. Some people are just much too tall.

After trying the GS Adventure, I'd quite like to get an Adventure seat for my GS12. Much more padding to keep the smeggy bum happy. :thumb

This shows the standard seat with the low option behind it. :thumb

The front seat is in its low position also ... normal height gives nearly a straight line off the pillion over the riders seat.

At SPC this weekend the general consensus was that the low 1200GS seat works fine and due to the narrower sculpting enables 5'8" foot on the floor with the suspension wound in. Now, after you've jacked up the preload for a pillion and full panniers ... YMMV ;-)
