12 G/S - Enduro or Non-Enduro?

Looks like I'm trading my '24 1250GSA for a 12 G/S. Increasingly finding the GSA too heavy and my riding is moving from distance travel to enjoying the local roads on sunny days. Not planning to offroad either.

But, finding it difficult to find a bike in stock with Non-Enduro and black wheels although Vertu Exeter have one but it has the full 719 pack. Has anyone regretted buying an Enduro? Any feedback appreciated.

Vines of Guildford have one with 900 miles on the clock at £14500 ? There are loads available 32 on autotrader at the moment.

I've got an Enduro .. love it, zero regrets, but I haven't ridden the non-enduro version so I can't compare 'like for like' .. I previously had a GSA 1250 and then an F900 GS (a very good bike and I do miss it at times) .. but, the R12 G/S really gets under your skin, it's a great backroad bike and I do take mine off road from time to time.

The enduro is a bit roomier with the bar risers and 18 inch rear wheel . I love mine but fitted annakee road tyres as I don’t take it off road . It handles nicely with them on , it’s a great daily use bike . . After I ve been to Slovenian this year on my GSA I will probably sell it and keep the 12

Vertu have a standard height with the 719 kit in Sandrover matt which I can't get on with the colour. But I think I'll go for the red/white enduro version and like you, change the tyres to the Annakee road tyres.

Looks more stylish in that colour combo, I can see why that look appeals to those of us of a certain age, retro styling seems to be the new black for the 2020’s

I’ve just configured an enduro pack one. I’m hoping that if I go new I’ll get a better deal and px price than if I try for a secondhand bike.

Johnny was spot on about the more comfortable seat on the enduro bike. The risers also made it feel more relaxed than the standard.

It's my first deal with Vertu Exeter and Alex Shaw in sales and Lewis Fifield in finance were a pleasure to deal with. They were considerably more competitive than my previous dealer.
