12 months on with the 800gs

helpful review. I was torn between getting a ktm and the 800gs, but they use far too much petrol. Ive got a drz 400e for proper trail riding so the front suspension isnt too much of a problem

Just need to sell my buell then ill be picking one up.

if you have a DRZ for real greenlaning then the 800 would be a great second bike. fantastic on the road and if you see a cheeky little lane on your travels, the 800 will take you down it for a nosey:bounce1

16L 2.5 hundred.

Just think what you'd get if ya tried sitting down once in a while. :D:D:D

Best regards Stretch :beerjug:

Hi Paul, Great video of a great bike :thumb2 and i liked the Music :thumb
what video recorder did you use on the move?

Did you say you cant find a better bike on fuelling :augie

How many tyres you gone through in how many miles  and I also agree you should not have to spend another 1k on suspension, but ive a feeling there may be a vid popping up of what happens if you do :thumb2

Cheers beer hunter for putting the vid on here for me!

puma, i binned the battlewings after the first 600 miles, didnt like them at all.

put the tkc,s on but the rear only lasted 2000 miles and squared off somthing cronic. the karoo 2 t the same as the tkc,s but a little cheaper so now trying the K60,s (quoted wrong in the vid) which seem to be very hard wearing and hold the road great in the wet and dry, just a little rumble feeling when gearing down.
thanks for the comments everyone.
my cam is a waterproof sanyo xacti wh1. just a cheap cam but waterproof and HD. you have to remember to keep cleaning the lens though as the rain leaves residue.

i am sure there are bikes out there with better fuel consumption but the 800 is up there with them

happy riding guys.:type

Had to look at your vid without sound here in t'office.

Recognised the Lees Road/Stockport Rd junction at top Mossley. Not far from my stomping ground as a lad. Spent many a day mucking about on (push) bikes (pre BMX days) in the old brickworks at Grotton in the 70's.

I wondered where the track was that you were on before you got to Mossley. Seems like the Google Street View car also thought Quickedge Road looked like a good 'un!!

Cheers
Andy
