I just purchased a 2007 ADV and ordered the Tobinators (Had them on last 1150 ADV, GREAT product) along with a Migsel mount. I have a Garmin 478 that I will be mounting, and it appears there will be little to no adjustment with this set-up....Any suggestions? I also have a locking Touratech mount that mounts to the Adventure windshield frame, but once again it appears I will have limited adjustment, won't be able to lock the GPS easily, and if this works, may end up with the GPS in the view of the dash.....Thanks in advance for your assistance....Lastly, after I get the mount, placement, etc. I will need a spot for the hockey puck size antenna, but that seems minor now.

Hi Wattner,

The 1200 Tobinators can allow you to lay the screen much further back than stock. As a result, a GPS or other device mounted to the top of the screen brace can get in the way of the screen.

Note that this can also happen without Tobinators when the screen is simply reclined and you've got something mounted on that brace.

Personally, I use a RAM mount for my GPS which is completely adjustable.

Cheers!

Andy
