I have put a deposit down on a 1200 gs a couple of months back. But since seeing the 1200 gs adventure, I had rang my dealer and asked if I can join the queue. Because really, would I ride the 1200 gs any faster on the twisty b roads. I don't really think so. By seeing this link to 1150 gs on the isle of man:

in the right hands, any of these machines will handle well. And imagine 10 kg lighter and 1200 cc. It will be awesome. Just think the adventure has more to it. Plus me and my daughter are doing a trip round Europe for one month and I think the adventure would be ideal. Its a big decision without even putting my bum on the adventure, but I'm sure it'll be fine. I hope I am making the right decision.

The ADV comes with alot of extras most people go out and buy anyway and the rack is better, panniers are stronger, screens bigger and depending on where your travelling in Europe, the extra fuel capacity will be a bonus. Finally, IMHO it looks great with the blackrims and forks
