Sorry but if it has a cracked casing its stuffed unless you know a good welder and you might even have to get it heat treated after welding to ensure it doesn't break again. I am sure you dont need me to tell you what can happen if the lugs fail completely and the alternator flies out

Aye and I welds things for a living and , in my experiance almost all welds shrink on cooling and cause distortion which on a precision item like an alternator is likely to pull it out of its desighn tolerance. IMHO not a good idea
If the case has cracked the most likely cause is the stator(outer winding)
has expanded causing the crack this then leads to the rotor(inner winding) and stator touching which then normally seizes the alternator.I have a buisness which includes alternator repairs. We see this a lot with car alternators and normally at this stage a repair is not cost effective. If there are any numbers on the alternator i could let you know if parts to repair or a unit is available.
As has been said - it's broken; no one will do a recon exchange alternator with a cracked case, they have to be in a servicable condition; the extra cost in repairing a case doesn't make economic sense, and you could also end up with future problems.
Patzx12 has said he has an alternator , or buy a used item from james sherlock, motorworks or ask in the wanted section. .
