hope you like your new bike but in a way I am bit sad that wind buffeting put you off your GS. it is an annoying problem but can be solved with persistence and there are different solutions and costs for different people. For long distance motorway blasting the RT is better but for recreational riding and B road twisties you can't beat a Gs IMO. enjoy your new bike :thumb2 and let us know how you feel about your decison after a few weeks riding. the GS V Rt is an intersting topic to debate.

I'm 6'2, have the seat on the high setting, and found that a Nippy's High and Wide screen with an Aerotrim* did the trick. I got a Touratech screen support on here 2nd hand which has stopped the screen wobbling about.

I can now listen to offensively loud speed metal whilst riding and not be troubled by wind noise at all.

*<small>From Heroblobs.co.uk. Dead easy to install, and easy to adjust as long as you have the correct socket, the correct Allan key (preferably long), a wobble extension bar, and the patience of a saint.

Thought you had a 2010 GS?

The easy fix is the best! start by cutting 3" of the top of the wind screen, I ended up at 5" down perfect!!! wind clean air hits just below helmet (no more buffeting at any speed)
