Guys or girls,

I have just had my wife out on the bike for the 1st time ever. Yahoo :bounce1.
She found the back seat not too comfortable to say the least. I know about air hawk ,corbins etc etc. But have a question. Have any of you that ride regulary 2 up, found or your partner has found that the 1200 was far more comfotable on the back than the 1150gs?

Cheers

Do about 4000 miles a year 2 up.

Mrs couldn't do more than about 1 1/2 hours before she would moan like mad.

Then bought a Wunderlich Comfort Seat from here, and now we can go for 3 hours without stopping, or a full day with limited stops. Well worth it just for the agro it saves........................

i ride many miles 2 up, on a 12gsa ,the good lady prefers to leave the top box on.gives her a bit more security i think.j

:thumb2 Sargent rear seat for my Missus, and the top box as well...
All day no worries

Do about 12k a year commuting into london and around with mrs on back. Have a givi topbox with backrest, she finds it comfortable.
I must say she is 5'4" so have a lot of room.

Top box

i was amazed at how much more comfortable my wife felt with the top box (and back pad) in place; She also felt much more secure and now sits still which makes the bike much easier to ride, especially on the twisty hills around here;

Fitted the back rests on the top box and my missus quite happy, she finds it comfortable for hour and half and then we take a quick break.
We have standard GS seats which she likes especially compared to the seat on my Fazer FZ1 - she lasted about 20 mins before shouting at me!

Cheers

I don't think ANYONE at the factory actually even sat on the seats, let alone tested them, before the 1200 was released....

The missus actually prefers it without the topbox on as it lets her sit back a little further but 2 hrs is more than enough!

Givi box plus back rest / airhawk. The only reason we ever have to stop is because she starts to fall asleep.

Yes..... after a month.... Had to loose the fazer :( r850r was more acceptible for her then the 1200gs.;)

I have fitted a normal GS rear seat to my GSA, because SWMBO finds it far more cumfy than the GSA fanny pad.

BAAA-BAAAAH !!!...

Bought this little piece of real sheepskin last year cos the missus couldn't seat on the back for more than an hour.

Really cheap, so if it doesn't suit you haven't wasted £150 on an Air-Sparrow...

you fool, - never take her in doors out for the first time on the bike that you intend her to travel on, - I took mine out on the back of my Duc 916 and then on the GS which she thinks his like an armchair in comparison, - not a single complaint EVER!!:)
