Once you’ve done a few it’s pretty straightforward
Don’t take too much apart, just wheel the rear subframe away.
4 hour job start to finish .
It looks worse than it actually is.
So is it 4 hours for the whole job?

Just take it to Steppers of this parish, job done.
My mistake.@Slime Bomb why have you quoted me but left the post blank/empty ?
I was trying to ask you about how long it takes someone who knows what they are doing from start to finish?Because there are no hard and fast rules and as Steppers said above One or two Seized bolts and you are screwedMy mistake.I was trying to ask you about how long it takes someone who knows what they are doing from start to finish?
Very good point, they have give me a print out of the quote but that is something that I'll be asking. When they quoted me for the new ZFE and fitting they stood by the quote and didn't charge me any extra for the time finding the broken wire which took quite a while.Because there are no hard and fast rules and as Steppers said above One or two Seized bolts and you are screwed
Your time went from a 4 to 6 hour job to plus 50% or more
Be warned if BMW take it on and they have a seized bolt ? check are they covering the extra time or are you ???
When my clutch was done by BMW they quoted a price. It went well and everything came apart ok after 20 years. The only problem was a bleed nipple on the rear brake broke. No extra charge to fix it.Very good point, they have give me a print out of the quote but that is something that I'll be asking.
