Hi

Made a grave error of judgement at the weekend
Test rode a 1200 GS, big mistake.

Its 50 kg lighter than my current beast
It's more powerfull and bloody good fun,
It brings out a latent hoolagan element in one's soul

Tried to act cool back at the dealers and tried to outline a deal,
but could not stop grinning, :D :D :D :D :D
even hours later the smile was still there.

Better start saving and plotting a purchase ;)

Permanant grin

Hi, had my 1200 adventure 3 weeks now and cannot get the permanant grin off my face. What a machine! BMW claim to produce the 'ultimate riding machine' and I reckon they are getting close with these beasties. Enjoy.....:thumb2

Just ordered my 1200GS Adventure last weekend for 1st Sept delivery, getting rather frustrated at the wait though ! Going to have to book another test drive to keep me going.

Go for it, just order one!!!:D
I had a test ride 3 weeks ago, ordered the next day and picked her up one week later:D :D

You're right about the fun factor though - mind you, my GS is a whopping 115Kg less than my old ride (H-D):mmmm

I'm still grinning two weeks on - when I'm not riding, I'm usually to be found tinkering in the garage. Loverly stuff!:D
