Just ordered my GSA '08 on Monday 21st january and delivery is on 26 January.

Not sure what these waiting lists are all about!!.

Congrats !:D

We don't know the circumstances here. If you happen to order options to a bike that was already in stock or on it's way, it is very well possible.
Dealers get GS bikes assigned and delivered by BMW in any case. Ordered or not.
A week lead time between placing a new order, being planned in for production at the plant in Berlin, shipment by BMW and delivery by the dealer to you is practically impossible.
What options did you take ?

Certainly no waiting list if you are happy with one of the bikes which have been pre specced by BMW.

Problem is that most of these seem to have ESA which I did not want and I am happy enough to pick up my new one in March built to my spec.

Will have to make do with the 06 GSA until then :augie

I just ticked every box.

most dealers are allocated these already as they have to take them, it's most likely it's in the garage out the back waiting for you to pick it up saturday.

My dealer has 2 in the workshop waiting for mugs/customers:augie like me to buy one? they have been there for at least 2 weeks.

Hope you got a good deal?

Mine was born on the 17th of January. :hogroast:hogroast:hogroast

Factory order, and its just the way I wanted it. No added stuff that wont be used. That way you only pay for the specification that you want, instead of what BMW want out there. Nice ESA Ginea Piggys.:D

not really as they've had ESA on the RT ranges for years without issue, from what i hear it's a great benefit if you do off road, touring, go solo, go two up, as I do, so to me its a benfit! i.e. not having to mess around with settings on the front and back suspension to ensure the bike is correctly balanced with a spanner and screwdriver, now its all at the touch of a button, great thing progress or would you prefer to still be driving around in a model T ford, in black? :nenau

:agree My K1200S had ESA on it and if it was an option on the GSA when I bought mine I would definitely have ticked that box.

I wanted everything and do not mind paying for bits I will only use occasionally. If they are on the bike then when I need them I can use them.
ESA is not a new concept for BMW - just new for the GS. - so cannot see any problems.

A bit like crossply and radial as a choice of tyre many years ago. - times move on.
