Hello all.
Some advice please.....Any recommendations for (i) a lightweight / easy pack motorcycle cover (to fit over a GSA with full aluminium luggage) for some 'out of sight - out of mind' parking when on Euro tours (as a deterrent from motorcycle thief scum) and (ii) a lightweight / decent U lock? Would a Litelok X3 fit a spoked GSA wheel? Does an Oxford Aquatex XL cover the mammoth size of these things when the 3 boxes are fitted? I haven't needed to cover or even lock any of my bikes when on Euro tours in the last 30 years, but I think it's fair to say motorcycle thefts are far far more likely these days - sadly. Obviously, I seek out hotels which appear to have secure parking, but sometimes, that's just not available and you have to leave it out there and hope for the best! Many thanks - LBJ.

Just bought both the above for a euro tour i.e aquatex and the x3.
Yes the aquatex does go over the whole bike inc the boxes, its slightly raised at the back with the top box but not a biggie.
Yes the x3 goes through the front hub/ spokes at the front, different story at the back though as i can only get it to fit via the spokes and the rear brake lines.
The cover, D lock and a hiplock chain plus another disc lock fits spot on in a kreiga us10 that sits on the rear seat.

I bought the XL for my Wing and it’s great . Dunno about large alloy boxes but it’s pretty big

Buttertub, what size cover have you got.
Just checked my sportsbike shop order....... it was the xl with top box.
Packs down to not a lot in the right bag. Reasonable quality but aint gonna last a lifetime because of how thin it is, but i knew that anyways.

I'd previously bought the wunderlich heavy duty version from nippys, fantastic quality / features but way too heavy and big for touring.

Thanks for that.I have got(i think)a lite cover in the garage somewhere, but if not I'll get the one you mention, cheers.

How will you secure the cover to prevent them taking a peek under it?

In the past (where covers have not had enough or any fixings), I have pressed a bungee chord hook through them near the seam and secured underneath the bike. Far from ideal as it damages the cover over time. Sounds like this cover is a tight fit over a GS/GSA with panniers so hopefully fairly secure from the outset, but an extra strap always a good idea I guess. The key is to try and disguise what the bike is, as a peep at any part of these bikes identifies the model to anyone who knows. And we know the GS/GSA is often targeted.

Yes, the NN Wunderlich one looks good / nice, but as you say, probably way too big for touring. A lightweight relative cheapy cover just to disguise the bike is the name of the game with this one.
