I noticed last night whilst riding along and turning the BMW extra lights on and off that they don't always turn straight off. There is a pause of maybe 30 seconds after turning the lights off that the lights actually turn off.

Anyone else notice this? Is this another CAM bus interference? Safety feature?

When I got my new 12GSA, the fog lights wouldn't turn off at all most of the time. Had to get the switch replaced under warranty.

Jo berg HIDS

Of course, in Joburg you wouldn't want to switch the HIDS off at all , especially trying to compete with taxis shooting down the hard shoulder there ! ( ex SA :)

50W HID Main :thumb2 :D
50W HID Dip :thumb2 :D
2 x 35W HID's in the Micro DE's :thumb2 :D

I only turn them off (apart from the main) when I stop the bike so that there is not so much 'draw' when I start it - then they go straight back on!

Let battle commence! :spitfire :mcgun :green gri

looked a bit more into this delay with switching off. During the day it does not happen - the lights switch on / off every time. Come night time however and there can be a delay when switching the lights off - maybe connected somehow to the light sensor in the instrument panel?

im confused...do you mean the 'landing lights' ????? They have to be the best safety device ever fitted to a bike..i love'em
