Has anyone experienced any problems fitting the remus header pipes to a 1200GSA? I called into my dealer over the weekend - mainly to decide on which end can to go for; and was told that one of their customers tried unsuccessfully to fit the header pipes. Apparently they fouled the rear suspension linkage. His advice was to fit the can only as there is no benefit from fitting the headers. Anyone got any advice?

Headers

Had trouble fitting Remus headers to my 12GS did not line up at all fitted a Bos no problems, have just fitted Remus headers to my 12GS ADV all fitted ok and with Acro can. Send the Remus back for another set there are a lot about that don't fit.

Agreed - particularlybased on the various thereads elsewhere on this site, I was surprised when he said that the headers probably wouldn't fit. Thanks for the feedback

Have Remus headers and their Genesis end-can... all fited up great on my GSA
no problems. The headers are the big gain... larger diameter and proven on dyno testing in USA (available somewhere on the AdvRider site) ... add a Wunderlich Power Controler (TFI) and the bike HOPS!! :D

I read elsewhere that the GS and GSA 12 headers have different part numbers.

It also seems that some people have had trouble fitting Remus headers to a GSA 12 and others haven't .

Weird !

So can someone confirm thar the Remus headers/Y fit straight on to a GSA 12 with no mods, and no fouling of the suspension. as has been mentioned elsewhere ?

I have the BMW Akra end can.

Where's the best place to get the Remus headers/Y piece ?

Has anyone got the part numbers ?

I have staintune headers on my 12GSA and they fitted perfectly (once I figured out which way round they went!).

I suspect that some headers may foul the GSA engine bars or have the sensors in a slightly different place making them fiddly to fit but they will be in the minority.
