I’ve been looking at GSAs and saw this one on Facebook Marketplace. It says it’s a 2004 Adventure, but all my research says the Adventure didn’t start until 2005. It also doesnt have the spoked wheels I expected.
any advice/information is appreciated.
R1200 GS Adventure 2004

That’s a GS NOT an Adventure the first 1200 Adventures would have been on an 06 plate, I had one,

Correct its a GS, not GSA ,

prolly a trader looking to shift it on , its an adventure bike innit ;)

Thanks. I queried it, and the vendor *assured* me that that year GSAs all had alloy wheels! It doesn’t look right. Shame.

odd R1200GS Adve. Year 06 0382 & 0397

yet "some" parts are listed for ones made Mar 2005 - then a gap then running from June 2005 onwards the adventure is always a later release

But not as early as 2004?

Thanks all. I’ll keep looking. Budget was around that, with commensurate mileage/condition, but a *lot* closer to home (Northumberland) if anyone has one…

Anything around that budget will need work -

Things to be to be aware of -
Shocks - refurb around £250 ,
Rear drive may need a rebuild,
and it may need a clutch at some stage
TPS units fail/stick
ABS may need work or have allready been worked on
Coil packs may need replacing - there are 4

Happy to do 1,2 and 3. Didn’t know about TPS . ABS trouble I hope to avoid
What I *don’t want * to have to do is a total dismantle/rebuild.
