Hi

Anyone out there got a GSA Tankbag that they can fit a full face helmet in?

I've checked with a couple of dealers that they reckon it can't be done in the following:
Famsa E-Max
Bags Connection GS
Givi XS308 (btw this bag looks a bargain compared to everything else)

So the bags I know of that might do it are:
Wunderlich Elephant
TT Large
BMWs own large one

Anyone know about these or anything else that would do the job?

Cheers

It would probably be easier to look for a helmet to fit a tankbag into.

What is it you are wanting to achieve, beyong cramming a helmet (open or full face or peaked it matters not) into a tankbag?

I bought a proper Sparco Helmet Bag a few years ago and to be honest in order to fit a full sized lid the thing is huge - I cannot see any available tank bags feasibly taking a full faced lid without being totally impracticable to mount onto the bike tank

If its about carrying and security - how about this:

It might not even need a textile bag over the helmet. The whole thing is slash proof and can be bungee'd and locked to the bike.

A proper search may find a sizes more suitable for the crash helmet.

Edit:
This looks interesting if its big enough for a helmet

There are probably other manufacturers doing the same sort of products and they may even have a website with a search facility. The pacsafe site is fairly crap for finding anything. Oh and the UK retailer only does about 4 products. :(

Thanks all for the replies.

I'm aiming to have a single bag that I can fit my helmet in when I park so I'm just lugging round one thing (tankbag) rather than 2 (tankbag + helmet). Also means plenty of extra storage space for when it's needed. The BMW Softbag 2 small gives a good tail pack option but obviously then without the map case etc. (and the crazy front kick style bike mounting that is needed with a big tail pack)

I've had tankbags on other bikes that can carry helmets. One of them being the Baglux Alpha linked to. I suspect that it will be a bit fat at the front for the GS and interfere with steering but may may have a closer look if the GS specific ones can't manage.

I hadn't noticed that the Baglux NewSign has that attachment, could be just the thing :thumb2

The Pacsafe would be ideal. Packs up small but lined with stainless wire mesh so the helmet can be locked securely to the bike and some scrote cant just chop off the chin strap and have it away.

Can confirm it swallows one with Rome to spare.
Just finished 6,600KM trip and no meaningful interference with bars. The forward clips are pretty far back.

Great info, cheers :clap
Now I know there is at least one option :)

Would seriously never have thought it would fit without getting in the way. The clips on my last bike were jammed right up at the front so I guess that's the key difference.
