1200 GSA top box rack

Can anyone help, will a standard 1200 rear luggage rack fit on a 1200gsa.

I have the rack for the ali top box but would like to take it off and fit the standard rack.

If it will fit does anyone want to do a swap (with a small cash adjustment - to me that is)

All the parts are interchangeable, but just to clarify are you talking about changing? The entire stainless steel rack for the "tripod" rack used on the GS, or do you just want to fit a vario top box?

Want to take off the stainless rack (leave pannier frames on) and replace with standard 1200 rack (or may be TT rack for 1200gsa)

The 12GSA pannier frames use the same mounting points as the 12GS rear rack. Can you clarify what end result you are wanting to achieve?

I don't like the look of the gsa stainless top box rack, would like to take it off and replace with either a tt rear rack or standard 1200 rack.

The standard GS rack as Tim says uses 2 of the mounting point that are also used by the side pannier rails.

It should be possible to fit the GS rack and retain the pannier rails by removing the aluminium spacers that the rails use when mounting.

definately interested in a swap, however I just want to make sure I can fit the standard rack with the GSA pannier frames, can anyone confirm this, or has anyone actually done it.
