Servo motor trying to cycle the exhaust valve which is seized?
Alan R

Yes - that is the exhaust flappy valve servo attempting to cycle a seized valve. I have heard that many, many times over the past two years...

Just freed mine off last night it had started to squeak tight but not fully seized up easy job to do just remove the cover and cables undo bottom lock not so you dont disturb the cable settings then you can turn it by hand next remove exhaust can and you will see it in the pipe.

Thanks for your replies guys. It's booked in for the dealer to check out tomorrow - which also happens to be the last but one day of the bike's warranty!:augie

I'll try and get them to replace it and then think about servicing it regularly myself.

What would you use as a general lubricant for it?

I used WD40 then copperslip but been told graphite grease or a dry lube is better but whatever you use it will cease up again,
