1200 rt windscreen wont move

PROBABLY THE SWITCH
It got a new switch only about 2 months ago.
Strip off the Tupperware, find the electrical connections and with the ignition off, give it power from the battery. If it goes down, its almost certainly the switch.
on the other hand if its making motor noise and not going down............I may have some spare parts!!

I found a post on a different forum about crossing the wires and that the pins are numbered. But not on my bike, don't know which pins to cross and I didn't want to risk damaging anything else.
There is no motor noise at all. It just went up with the button and won't go down.
It's the switch, the horn, cruise control also fail -frequently. Tell your dealer..

That I did but it's still no excuse, have you ever had any problems with your rt screen .?

Im actually in Ratoath just north of finglas.
No problems so far. Shouldn't be too hard to isolate problem with a multi meter.

I managed to bypass the switch and got the screen to go down. So it's defo the switch that's the problem. I have sourced one on eBay from Germany for €160 instead of the €500 Joe Duffy wanted.

As its common known fault you may find a dealer will change FOC
