Hi
Could anyone tell me how much they paid for a 12000 mile service for their f650 Dakar and what it includes
I have rung a few dealers and the prices and scope of work seem to be different according to which dealer i speak to
According to the schedule i have the my 2006 Dakar the fork oil should be changed.
Some quotes i have got have this included , some dont ?.....

As for prices, they range from £240-£340. Some say they include checking valve clearances, but not adjustment which is an additional cost again....

I'm confused , which doesent take much

I thought fixed price servicing and scope of work would be the BMW way :)

so any recommendations on prices and recommendations for a good dealer would be appreciated, i live in Somerset so south west region would be good.

Also i want to add an accessory socket to power my GPS , any help as how to go about it , what to buy and where would be appreciated.

Many thanks

About £300 from Williams in Manchester and that included the 2 year old checks and front fork oil change and spark plugs.

The changing of the brake fluid depends on age and IIRC after one year both get changed and then it's alternate years for front and rear fluids.

£200 at Clarks in Rednall. They did everything and there was no extra charge for valve clearance check and adjustment.

My servicing, since the initial 600 miler, has been done by an independant mechanic, at about half the cost of a BMW dealer. Warranty was not affected.

As to the accessory socket, your 2006 Dakar should have one as standard, half way down the frame tube on the left side, under a spring loaded black plastic cap.

OEM should be here:
