1200gs 2004 rear shock lower bush

Help required please, I am trying to remove the rear shock absorber, top bolt came out no problems, bottom bolt the same.
The problem is the bottom bush which appears to have no means of being prized out, is there a bmw tool for removal of this item or any other sneaky methods?

It can be tricky, grab a rubber mallet and whack it.

If all else fails

They usually 'come away' if you leave top bolt in & push swing arm down.

I thought the bush passed all the way through the swing arm and the shock and had to be pulled out to free the shock, from what you are suggesting it is just within the shock mount and will free with some persuasion, I will give it a whack tomorrow to see if it wil free up.
