For anyone considering fitting a Remus ... the front pipes of the 1200 Adventure are a different part number than the standard 1200GS... so the 1200GS Remus front pipes wont fit

The silencer of the GS-A is the same part number as the later standard 1200GS (the stop for the centre stand is on the right hand side of the frame now, not on the exhaust)

So I've fitted a 1200GS Remus to my Adventure... goes straight on :D

The bracket hanging down to act as the centre stand stop can be left on... or cut off... no probs :thumb

New rear tyre fitted too

Nice one Micky

Cannot believe you have wasted the rear already!

Did you cut off the centre stand support? If so what with? Easy?

only the middle.....

.......still loads left on the edges - 'cos he rides like a big girls blouse!! :bow

Sherps ;)

Remus Header pipes fit as well - as the Remus pipes join in the centre of the bike. BOS front pipes don't fit as they join towards the right of the bike and foul the '06 model's (including Adventure) re-designed (and much better) centre stand.

As you can see boy... ground clearance problems even with an Adventure...

PS Swoops... hacksaw and grinder... on the exhaust... tarmac on the centre stand :clap

they all do that sir! ;)

Aye lad, but mine dunt have 19 1/2 stone on it

Wilbjr... interesting point! I tried to fit the Remus front pipes but they fouled the suspension below the rear suspension unit mounting! Header pipes are different part numbers for the Adventure and 1200GS's, rear cans the same!

Micky. I'll try and post a picture of mine tomorrow. Mine seems to fit fine with plenty clearance. Seems like you're enjoying you're new bike then. :)
