I had to smile when one of the members of this forum derided the new 1200GS as "a tart's handbag". As it turns out, he may not have been far off. One of the women on the ADVrider forum recently had the opportunity to see the new 1200GS in the flesh, and had this to say:

"Sis likes the 1200GS too. I predict there's going to be a lot of girls buying this bike. It's not as big and burly as the 1150. I still say the 1150 is much manlier, a lot of guys are going to look like they're riding the 650 if they're buying the R12GS."

Well that settles it for me. I'll keep my 1150GS until BMW comes out with a replacement that a real man wouldn't be embarrassed to be seen on.

How many girls with a 12GS ?

My better half will have unrestricted access to my 1200 (when I get it) as she has had to the Varardero and all the other previous bikes.

Hmmm, this thread seems to have uncovered a couple of manhood problems here and there......:D :D :D

Your playing with youself. What's wrong with a female riding a GS. I can see it now. I'm sorry wife I'll do the dish's and then you'll be able to ride the big pig of a bike to remember that I'm a bloke.
I think it's great. Just show's what a great bike it is. The big pig is on it's final days of life. :D
