I had a look at a newer bike recently on behalf of a mate who has ordered one and wants the same light set up as me, I don't think it will fit but if it does it won't be as well hidden as it is on the earlier GSA's as the newer version has different bodywork with a different shaped beak
I'll tell you what else won't fit; Wunderlich mesh folding headlight guard*,there is no steel bar in front of the oil cooler on the newer model to mount such an item,feckin new fangled plastic models blah blah blah........................

i only had a quick look yesterday & could not see why it would not fit. didn't really have a detailed look & humvee may well be right

so if anyone wants one to try on approval, give me a shout.

but like the 06/07 models, it will definitely NOT FIT if you have the OEM spots as the mounting bar is in the way.

You'll probably find that Les Wassal's bracket will fit the 08 model. This fixes to the oil cooler mounting points and I can't see them having re-designed this on the 08 model, as its only generally cosmetics that have been updated.

HID's

The HID's on my 1150 have survived two horrendous crashes (forks ripped off!)
and another 80mph flip over while decreasing the dog population in Peru.
The one thing unaffected was the HID still working perfectly in spite of the dipped beam outer lens being smashed. The ballasts are contained in resin
completly sealed so will put up with any thing.

Cookie, Thanks got it this morning, absolutly spot on. The ballast that i have is abit smaller then the norm so I've just drilled two new holes each side, job done. Pics to follow

All done an hour ago but its taken another hour to get the pics to size still hopefully this will work Pic 1 shows 4 smaller holes pic 2 shows one view and pic 3 the other. pic 4 is all ready for assembly pic 5 you can just about see the rubber cap that came with it. hope this works
