If I do every manage to buy the GSAV what advise has anyone got on panniers, I prefer to look of the BMW dealer type but have got doubts over there construction, plastic corners and the way the clamp fixes them on.
My useage for them would be when fitted for a long journey I wouldnt intend to remove them until home again would the non BMW dealer TT Cases be better?
If anyone has a 1200gs adv how wide is it with the panniers on?

The width of the BMW adventurepanniers is according to the owners manual 991mm, I have them on my 1200adv because in Sweden the pannierrack is standard equipment so just buying the panniers is not that big of an economic comittment. If the racks wasn't standard eq. I would have bought Zegas standard panniers, I have them on my Africa Twin and have been very pleased with them. The only true advantage I think the BMW:s have over the Zegas is that they are easily removed from the bike without fiddling around inside the panniers.
