So off I went to SPC open day hoping I wouldn't get drenched.

Rode a K1200S - stupid amounts of power - 167 bhp :clap :clap
Got soaked - it rained - biblical proportions - river running down the road type of thing. K1200S doing about 25mph in top gear.

Anyway, afternoon came, rain cleared up a bit - nope I'm not going out on one of those horrid R1200GS's, but I'll deign to try one of the 1200 Adventures.

Oh gawd - I loved it - lovely big bouncy thing - enormous - I want one.

Problem is - once you add standard 1200 panniers, ABS, grips, fog lights, trip computer, we're up to almost 13 grand

Price to change £7,800 sir - your 3 year old 1150GS is worth 5 grand.

Bollox to that - but I'm in lurve - I want one.

£1,800 for panniers

Bargain :D
My quote was for the standard plastic panniers from the 1200GS - needs bits of ironmongery to make it fit on the ADV. panniers were about £180 each side.

Alpine white
ABS, grips, fog lights, on board computer, white lenses, road tyres
£11,067

Will it fit in the shed :rob
