Can you fit 1200GS handgaurds and bar ends to the HP2? I find that without the balancer shaft there is a fair amount of vibration through the bars and i thought that this may help reduce it.

A good throttle body synch should sort out the vibes.
I have to adjust mine every couple of thousand miles - the vibes tell me it's time :thumb

Time for another n00b question: how do I do a throttle body sync?

Thanks :thumb

Lots of aftermarket bar end weights out there that I'm sure would fit, can't do any harm trying....:nenau

I've found this:

but that's not for the 1200, but good reading.
Essentially the same but theres no tickover balance to do and left and right can be adjusted. Just make sure there's play in each cable when you're done.

Suggest you do a search and find specific method for the 1200. It's out there somewhere! Try your CD if you have it.

This thread has some useful links:

and as pointed out, valve clearances should be set before balancing.

Good luck.........
