1200GS brake light

Mate of mine has just bought a 1200gs, and a givi box complete with brake lights fitted. Apparently i have the pleasure of wiring it up (lucky me )
Can anyone tell me if it can be done with canbus wiring, and if so do ijust piggy back onto the brake light wiring ?.

No idea about can bus BUT don't over tighten the screws that hold the lens in place- I did and it cost me £37 for a new one

The guy i ride with has got an extra brake light fitted to his 07 1200gsa and has just piggy backed off the main light and it works fine
