Didn't you post this already? :D

Yep.............but nobody seems to have replied or phoned TT UK and found out if it was the same in UK

Just trying to help out fellow GS'ers to get a freebie (if one's going) that maybe due to them

Who's had a response from TTUK?..............Anybody??

I've just emailed them - if they do send out free anti-glare shields I guess I'll have to get rid of my Duct tape version :)

:D :D :D :D

Good Luck, Clive

Let us know the outcome, holding our breath :mmmm

I bought the 'polycarbonate attach with sticky pads' and the little light visor peak, both from Nippy Norman's, when I upgraded my headlight bulbs. Fitted them at the same time, works a treat and looks cool too!

Obviously, if you can get em for free, good one!

I am well happy with mine, no scatter at all, better than standard, especially with the uprated lights :D

Headlight Guard

I was so hacked off with mine that it's in the garage drawer - got a mesh one instead.

If anyone wants it they can have it for a donation to the TITS fund

Let me know :thumb

The latest from TT(UK) is that they are "talking to Germany to see what they can offer in regard to this". The original "offer" was a TT(USA) only initiative and not from German head office.

The (email) response from TT(UK)...

We have had extensive talks with both the factory in Germany and Touratech USA and it appears that the offer that Touratech USA has given has been done totally off their own back and at a substantial loss to them. At present no other Touratech distributor or Touratech Germany themselves are offering this.

Obviously we would like to give the same offer to our customers but we are simply not able to. We would however like to offer something to help remedy this situation and help solve the problems that some customers are having with this item and have agreed that we would be willing to offer a discount of 30% on the anti-glare shade to customers who purchased the light guard last year.

What I do need to point out however, is that Touratech USA are issuing these to improve the headlight guard. They have never stated it is for 'safety reasons'.

If you would like to take us up on this offer please contact me

Bloody typical that I read this thread after ordering a TT glare shield to go with my highly reflective TT headlamp cover. :spitfire
