If like me, you find the stock 1200GS screen awful then you'll have maybe been looking for alternatives.

I've tried Tobinators - helped but didn't cure it totally for me although I do know others rave about 'em. (I'm an odd shape)
Secdem screen - helped but set it's own weird noise up and looked ungainly
Wider aftermarket screen - didn't do an awful lot tbh.

Now the waiting is over - MRA have finally brought out a Vario screen for the 1200GS.
If you've used one on an 1150GS you'll know, like I do, how utterly brilliant these screens are.

HPS are the distributer in the UK and do them for £105.

They're not shown on the website yet (it shows the aerofoil version at the mo') but if you ring 'em they have them in stock.

This is the 1150 version

:)

The upside of all this is that I'll have a load of aftermarket screens etc for sale as soon as I fit the MRA one. :D

Nige.........

The 1150 version is now avalable for the 1200, has an E mail from HPS, hope this is not too late! if this is the one ya want:nenau

And here is how it looks:

Got one on my 12.
Bought 2nd hand off this site.
Reasonably impressed.

I find that the improvement over standard is less than on the 1150, but I find the standard 12 screen to be better than the standard 1150.

Standard screens

I agree that the 1200 screen is better than that on the 1150 but have to admit that I have little problem with either; I had long correspondence with a friend in the UK who could not tolerate the buffeting etc. of his 1150 screen and eventually changed the bike for an RT. I tried at great risk to my 'permit de conduire' to get this buffeting but all was quite tolerable until I was around 100mph - and if you go faster than that in France nowadays you are looking for trouble. I did read a theory that a tank bag (which I always have in place) fills the gap between screen and body and cuts down the turbulence - anyone find this?

Never had any problem with buffeting, more with wind noise.

I wonder if it is partially a type of helmet thing.

Just changed my Schuberth Concept (after 5.5 years and over 50k miles) for a C2.
