Hi I like the idea of putting a sidecar on my GS, has anyone got hints, tips, knowledge of companies etc etc. Any advice appreciated

Check out Scotia Sidecars......They import Tripteq which will fit the 1150 and 1200GS

You can see one fitted to Herbert Schwarz's R1200GSA in the Touratech catalogue
