1200gs which engine bars

Can any one tell me, what are the best engine bars to fit to a 05 1200gs.

I would say Hepco & Becker aka H&B bars.

Ya pays yer money and takes yer chance. I saw an esteemed member of this forum slide off at 80 MPH . He had SW motech bars on. His cylinder was unmarked. I have SW Motech bars now too

I had SW Motech ones that I didn't like because they fitted under the bike - I now have H&B ones but there was an issue with clearance on the after market exhaust headers. I think the new SW bars mount to the side of the engine so may be the best of both worlds

SW Motech query

I'm keen to replace the standard decorative bar on my 2006 GS12 for all the above good reasons and was going to buy SW, but have been told they will not fit with my Remus header. From one web supplier I found some pics. It does look like the older model R1200 bar would not clear the sensor on the Remus header. However, it looks like SW have re-designed the bar on what looks like a 2008 GS12.

Does anyone know if this re-designed bar would fit straight on to a 2006 GS12?

It also looks like the HP bar would clear the Remus sensors, but I've heard some negative comments about availability and german-only instructions. But what's hard about fitting 6 bolts??

All constructive comments welcome.
