Thinking of swapping my 1100 for a 1200.
Test riding an 04 with 20K on the clock tomorrow.
Is this a wise move? Is there anything in particular I should be looking for?
Obviously if the money side of the deal doesn't add up then it'll be back to old faithful!
Thanks in advance.

My 04 1200 has just done 20k miles and it is getting better all the time. Over the last month or so it has become even smoother and feels quicker. Bloody brilliant.

By now, any problems should have surfaced and been fixed under warranty. If you're getting it from a dealer you should have a warranty with it as well.

Check through all the work done on the bike - the supplying dealer should have a full record on their systems.

Check the rear pads - they wear quite quickly (on my 3rd set now). Also, the throttle cables on mine have gone quite stiff so I've got a lubrication device to give them a quick squirt this weekend.

Thanks Andy.
Yes I'm getting it from a dealer (hopefully) so it will be an approved used but thought I'd better check.
Fingers crossed.
Will post piccies if my spending money stretches far enough.
