At 10500 miles I am in need of new rear pads (and possibly fronts) but need the part numbers for the sintered type.

Can anybody assist. BMW want £47 for rears but they're £24 from Norman but I need to know I'm getting the right ones.

ATTENTION!
Sinter pads only for use motorcycles with BMW Integral ABS. (sic)

I used a site for EBC pads for my Tigers and XR400 - good search system if I remember, and prices were OK ---Quick delivery! ------" brakes4u.co.uk "
Might be worth a try!

Thanks guys, I just managed to find the EBC pdf adn dig through it

FYI
Front pads GS/GSA all years EBC-FA335 or EBC-FA335HH for the sintered heavy duty
Rear pads GS/GSA all years EBC-FA363 or EBC-FA335HH for the sintered heavy duty

Thanks for the link, I'll give them a try.

R 1200 GS Rear Pads

In the EBC Range, it appears to be:
FA363HH - Sintered - 17.44 inc VAT
FA363 - Kevlar Organic - 13.88 inc VAT

Fronts only come in Sintered (FA335HH - 20.95HH)

Out of interest, a rear disk (Pro-Lite 671 is 65.51 inc VAT)

Don't know which is best, I suspect you'll get many answers!

rdover - I think that std BM pads are sintered - but I used to use EBC HH pads on the front of my tigers, (they only had weedy 2pot sliding pin calipers) and the difference was quite remarkable. Better brakes as soon as they were fitted, even before they were bedded in.
Don't know if a similar improvement is likely with the GS 'cos they have better brakes to start with, and I'm still on my originals on my GS.
I'll shut up now - Bye.

I supply ferodo platinum pads for the 1200GS - superb pads. £18 for the front,£16 rears.

Never mind.

Just changed the pads and after 10,500 miles teh 2nd set had less than 2mm left. New ones have almost 6mm. Now we'll see how long they last!
