1200GSA OEM healight guard

Morning all,


I bought the OEM headlight guard for my 2016 1200GSA and have run into a little problem installing it. The two rubber grommets that hold the bottom of the headlight in place are the issue. The right circlip on the bottom of the grommet came off no isssue but the left is obscured by another rubber grommet holding something in place and is completely inaccessible !!!

I've heard that the front fairing needs to be removed but I'm not quite at that stage yet. Is there an alternative way to get that little clip out without pulling the bike apart ??

They're the instructions I have but its saying preperation is "Removing cockpit fairing"

I ended removing the whole front plastics just because of the one circlip. It's in a fiddly spot and you have to push a washer up first to put the circlip in.
