1200GSA won't be at Birmingham

I visited our dealer in East London today, they got a paper on training dates for dealers on the launch of the HP2 and 1200gsADV. Still no pics available from them.

Just been reading my lancashire evening post and even they reckon that the 1200 gsa WILL be launched at the nec next thurday .... ;)

There's a rumour on Raptor and Rockets that reckons the 1200Adv WILL be shown at the NEC as a 'thank you' to BMW UK.
In the footsteps of the Long way around BMW Motorrad UK has provided invaluable PR for BMW as a bike maker. KTM had their chance to be a part of the adventure, but just did not get it. Following all of this BMW R1200GS is BMW's best selling bike in the UK. Not only is it best selling BMW, it beats all other trail bikes by a gigantic margin. Of all big motorcycles sold in the UK the 1200GS is the fourth best selling of them all with 1,667 new registrations according to the MCIA. Only Suzuki GSX-R1000, Honda CBR1000RR and Kawasaki ZX6-R beats it in sales. So as an award for BMW Motorrad UK's achievements we believe they have received a spanking new BMW R1200GS Adventure to premiere next Thursday in Birmingham.

Lets hope so mate, sadly I won't be in the UK to see it if it is, gotta go work elsewhere for a couple of weeks. :(

Taken from the NEC web site just a few minutes ago:-

BMW
BMW Motorrad UK will showcase the world premier of a new model that will be on sale in 2006. Full details are still firmly under wraps but the excitement is building as the NEC will be the first time anywhere in the world that motorcycle journalists and bike enthusiasts can see this new machine in the metal.

What it is exactly is anyones guess though?
