I had a 56 plate GSA which I changed for a 1200 GT to keep swmbo happy. I liked the bike and now that biking needs have changed and am thinking of getting another new GSA. What differences are there between my old one and the new model?

Also is there a device which stops the crud getting on to your left foot which works.

Is ESA worth the extra?

TIA

I personally think the ESA is worth the money, especially when swopping between solo and two up with luggage, so easy and actually works (I think), but then I admit I do like gadgets. The newer bike is slightly smoother with more torque but what sold it for is is the exhaust note, its gorgeous. I have a 2010 GSA, before that an 08 model so what exact differenec to your 56 model not sure.

Fitting a mudslinger or the like cuts down on the crap from teh rear. If the debris on your foot is coming from teh front you may need to look at something like Wally flaps (Do a search) personally never felt teh need but some swear by them.

Having had both, I would have said the biggest difference was performance! :)
