Hi All,

I'm thinking about a 1200RT, probably a 2007/2008

What gadgets to they come with and what /non-standard' ones should I look out for?

For example, do they all have an audio system or is that an optional extra?

E

I had a 2008, managed to find a second hand one with all the bells and whistles.

Like any bike, they came in lots of versions, mine was an SE with audio, but at that stage Bluetooth wasn't standard.

I just bought a 2007 SE in Blue - 24k miles.

It's coming on Wednesday I think!

Anyone got a list of what should be included as standard?

In my experience very few were ordered as "bog standard".
People either specced a few items they wanted, or in many cases opted for one or more of the "packages" of options.
You would be better advised, IMO, looking for a bike that's in good condition, well looked after, & take it with what it's got.
The one bit of advice I would give is buy a bike that does not have the "servo assisted" braking.

Delivered this morning!

It's very very clean - I'm very very happy!

It's an SE but no ESA (I think that came as standard in later models?). It's 1 owner, full BMW history and in really good condition

Heated seats, heated grips, electric screen, BMW alarm... I'm pretty happy with it!

...and cruise control - amazing what you learn when you sit and play with the bike and you manual for a while!
