1250 GS Rallye vs S1000XR

You must have a weak wrist or anti twist syndrome , many suffer from it :D:D

Haha, no I’ve found they are pretty gutless until you hit about 4000 regardless of how much you are trying to break your wrist.

Try the same thing on a thou inline 4 and your’d have the front wheel in the air by 4000 revs

Go jump on a fast bike and give it a try :)

Have you ridden a Superduke ? I would say that it is closer to riding a GS than an XR is (Only talking one up).

Yep, Superduke GT. The XR riding position is more similar to the GS, but the torque of the GT is more similar to the GS, so they’re both similar in different ways.

Yep and out of control , great on the Essex dual tracks but out in the sticks its a bit of fish out of water , all to their own , I keep the R1 for the tracks , and the R6 , that where a 1 ltr bike belongs , somewhere it can stretch its legs and do its thing.
As I said before great bike but wanting and tiring on the back roads . I did however like it , felt better than my 1200s multi , as the power was addictive .
The GS can sit all day with the XR and have fun as long as its not a long straight road yawn yawn...:thumby::thumby::thumby::)

Agree that’s partly why I bought the GS.

My Gixxer thou did spend most of its time on the track but it’s going back on the road next summer as a flat tracker, it’s going to be so much fun

I hoping the multistrada V4 lives up to its promise as I have a Ducati shaped hole in my garage

The new XR will be unveiled tomorrow........

Look like a change in pannier mounts/ panniers, which is an improvement in the looks department, though won’t be rushing to change mine.
