1250 GSA - Still a wise move?

Not particularly relevant but this was my last GS. I would like improved weather/wind protection, less buffering and wind noise, longer range, less knee bend and slightly improved road presence.

I think the latest GSA should give me what I’m after.

Have you agreed the deal with the Akra on it? Why not just swap it over to a standard before it goes?
That bike & pipe are long gone. I don't want the Akra again.

I found that on long journeys the droning just ruined my ears to the point of hurting. Came back from Scotland once at a fair pace down the A1 and honesty for about 2 weeks or more after that I had serious ringing going on.. Custom ear plugs & Arai X4 with a larger screen too FYI.

I never had the baffle in so my fault sort of, the weight saving was 3/5 of not a lot - but the throttle did feel ever so slightly more reactive. Anyhow I wouldn't have one for free now even..

I was hoping to trythe new GSA before swapping as I really thought i would replace the 1250 with the 1400 but the timing was wrong and I made the mistake of test riding the Multistrada Rally.

just a month to wait 🏍️:)

I'm as deaf as a post anyway. Probably because of that, :ROFLMAO:

Same as mine minus akra.
The OEM exhaust note is spot on for me no interest in changing it. Only difference mine has full touratech engine and fairing guards.

I definitely think spokes look better on the GS. I also think they are more 'accommodating' for the inevitable knocks they receive too..
I am also quite ambivalent about it as each GS can look good with it's different get up..

The Wunderlich seats are a good change, I have riders seat on mine, plus spoked wheels but the idea is to replace with cast ones…
Wunderlich are much better than stock, but not sure if they're that much better than the comfort seats that were supplied as standard with my old GS. I like the cast wheels. I've only done about 30 miles in wet weather on them so can't say that they feel any different yet. But, they're much easier to clean :D

Takes me very little time to clean the spoke wheels tbh. I prefer them over my cast on my vstrom.

I still remember my bikes in the 70s, only had the option of spokes, they were an F-ing PITA. Who wants rusty nipples?
