Not sure if this has been shared already?

Gives a good description on how the new valve train works and shows the bike itself which appears pretty much the same as the latest 1200.

looks like only the engine has changed?

I like the look and the lines of the 'single'? seat and the infill panels behind it. The only trouble is that they they highlight the height/size of the tank which makes it look even bigger than it usually does.....

Edit: They aren't infill panels are they, just a fancy coloured seat......

well worth spending £10K to get the new bike with gold wheels :augie

That change pin is in for a bit of work then... is it electronically actuated?

Lets hope they've improved the overall finish then. TFT as standard perhaps, leaning ABS standard and heated seats, a la Triumph as standard would be lovely. Guessing not much change from 19k either.

Yes does look like it, which was a surprise to me.

Really? It’s been mentioned several times here that the change is mainly the engine. Remember when they updated the last GS with a twin cam engine? This’ll be along the same lines.

Called into my local dealer this afternoon and according to him the cosmetic changes are minimal. Approximately £500 more than the current model and the rallye is getting gold wheels. They will apparently have demo bikes in place for October, with the main launch taking place in Milan, thought it would have been Cologne myself but who knows.

Did I see a Nav 6 and TFT in the video- let's hope they both have kissed and made up and are speaking to each other.

Just think of the NN farkels it will need! Of course, none of the current 1200 will be transferable

One thing I can ditch my stove as you can now cook on the engine - it looks wide enough.

Gold wheels? :eek::barf:blast

!43 Nm and 1250cc means a fairly strong engine. Compared to the MS1260, which is known to have a powerful engine, also with variable valves, the MS does 130 Nm.

Also, only 136 Hp means that the torque is maximized at a fairly low RPM.
The engine will be Euro-4 / 5, and still run lean, so a way of adding a bit more fuel will probably still be desired.

The inlet valve opening does only have two openings to choose from. Wonder if the changeover will be noticeable, like the Honda VTech.

In the spring we will know the answers. I have to admit that I look forward to a test-ride :beerjug:

Guess all the "bits" we buy/bought will fit the new model, re evolution not revolution? :nenau
