got a pair of road attack 3s fitted on my vstrom 650 last week. seem excellent so far.

Pirelli STR my all time favourite tyre, awesome on wet or dry roads and pretty damn good off road. Decent ish life as well.

And the question many might ask how much to fit. mine will be done by dealer, that way if something is wrong, warranty kicks in, and not that much more expensive anyway.

Yep ta keith I know it is a speed rating thing, but wondering is there any actual difference in the handling, which one would be the better choice for the GS.

I don't think the ZR rating is necessary for the GS...... I would be inclined to check which spec tyres the GS comes with and stick with that.

The A3,s are V rating so top line me-thinks

BM recommend 'R' rated which the ta3s are and most mere mortals will reach their own limits before the tyres.

Bike on its way to Spain for a quick 1800 miles ( euro bike trans) first time on these so will see how I get on as the PR5 only lasted 1500 miles.

Go to a warm sunny country with good roads and ride like you are on a race track, Voila! your tyres are toast. I have seen tyres (not mine) taken to the threads in 2000mls.
