Hi all,

Firstly please move this post if it's better placed in a different section.

I am wondering if anyone can help me or point me in the right direction. I recently decided to have a clear out of unwanted music on my iphone as it was taking up space and quite honestly some of the albums on there I wouldn't want to be found having. So now I have removed them BUT they still show up when I connect my phone (11 Pro) and go to Media > albums. They seem greyed out so obviously wouldn't be able to play but why do they even appear? I was assured by my local dealer whom I asked also and they said it's just a mirror of what's on my phone, no caching or storage which makes sense but it's clearly not just a mirror. He suggested it's an issue with my phone yet my car, also a BMW, doesn't seem to have the same issue so maybe a compatibility issue?

I have tried removing my phone from the bike and re adding it yet when I go to Media > albums, there they are again.

It's more annoying than an issue as it just takes me longer to scroll passed the cr@p and find what I want.

Any assistance would be gratefully received.

I had this before. It was solved by forcing a manual re-sync/update of the iCloud library. Open iTunes from your computer (not iPhone). In the menu: File > Library > Update Cloud Library. And then resync your iPhone with your computer (via a cable).

Over time, occasion the iCloud library may become out-of-sync with what is on your iPhone. By doing this, the iPhone library on your phone cleans up the metadata that may reflect iPhone-only deleted files.

Give it a try - this approach worked for me. Thereafter, what showed up on the TFT was exactly what I had in my iPhone. YMMV...!

Thank you Spareparts I can give that a try. I don't tend to use iTunes on my PC much nowadays but nothing ventured...
