I think there is only one other person in here with an SA and he knows about this. Just in case though, and others are just lurking. I put an 1190S front mudguard on my SA. Really didn't like the all white original one. Happy to say it's a perfect fit and the bonus is its only 40 odd quid for genuine KTM! I probably couldn't have painted it for that unless I used rattle cans. Just need to work out what if anything to do with the rest of the colour scheme. It's a shame nobody does a wrap for them yet.

You send them down to me, I'll sort them out for you! ;) :D

Interesting that you've decided to go from Black to White with the mudguard. I've done three 1190 paint jobs now and each time they've gone from Black TO white

I certainly do think that KTM could have done more with the 1290 Adv, they do strike me as being a little anaemic

Looks better with the black mudguard, as the upper part of the bike is white, and the lower sections of the bike all match now.:thumb

Agreed about the colour, it needs more orange. I'll be taking one out for the day later in the year when the GSA is up for renewal.

Had my mudguard wrapped in black and burnt orange, with smaller burnt orange "flashes" on side of tank and seat fairings...looks good to me!

thought I'dput photos on here a while back but maybe they are on advrider

nope, just found thread on here!

Yes just looked at it cheers. Looks good.

I am actually thinking of a few ways to change the colour scheme.

Get a cf top tank cover and blackout the silver tank leaving the rest. Maybe black out the silver top fairing parts as well right enough

Make the top tank cover orange and blackout the tank. Probably just do this in wrap.

Take all the white parts and coat them in candy orange.

Some kind of complete repaint, no idea to what mind you.

I have a few months to work it out before the weather gets warmer to paint. Knowing me though it will probably still be exactly the same this time next year!

Would love to have mine painted in a black /orange scheme

I also ordered the adventure s fender + a fender extender to keep the road grind
off the engine
Still plans for a black powdercoated ktm bash plate.
Carbon side shields.
Rottweiler folding mirrors
Knight design lowered foot pegs

I will have a test ride when it's time to change my GSA just wondering if ktm have sorted the clunking noise from the front forks that a few were complaining about here and adv rider.

there is talk on adv rider of KTM supplying new fork internals that cure the problem. i never noticed any clunk when i test rode one.

i've not ridden the 1050, but i thought the 1290 steered better than the 1190S. i think the R does too.

probably just personal preference.

When I test rode the SA the dealer said "did you notice a clunk from the front forks?" I didn't, but I did notice a farmers hedge approaching rather quickly when the bugger wouldn't turn :blast
